TRAVEL NOTES
Generally more important to visitors than temperatures is the rain.  The rainy (or monsoon) season in Hoi An is from September until January.  During this time, rain clouds will constantly move through the area, particularly during October and November. It can rain constantly and there is a high probability of flood and typhoons. There are days during which sunshine is abundant, but they are not the majority.  A noticeable decrease in tourism can be seen during the wet season. The dry season is from February until May. These months provide plenty of sunshine, with warm temperatures. Some feel the best time to visit Hoi An is between February and April, when rainfall is low and temperatures are comfortable. Others think it is best to wait a little longer, until May and June.

In the morning, our guide and car will come to pick you up at your hotel then transfer to Hoi An ancient town.  Start our morning by strolling around the Hoi An ancient town to visit: Chua Cau or Japanese Covered Bridge-considered the symbol of Hoi An the finest example of Japanese architecture. Step back in time to discover the Chinese street with stunning Phuc Kien Hall and Phung Hung old house typical of Hoian original architecture. We then visit Hoi An vibrant market and ancient port to explore the rythm of local daily life and savor the true color, flavor and taste of the oriental. Finally, we visit Phuc Thanh Pagoda – the oldest pagoda in Hoi An built in 1454 with Chinese bonze.

Next, we visit the home of a craftsman in the old streets. Here you will have a brief introduction to the history, shape, and colour of the lanterns as well as the many stages of making them. After that you can make your own lantern, decorate, pack and keep it as a souvenir during the time in Hoian.
