8.00 am meet tour expert at your hotel lobby, begin the exploration of Ho Chi Minh city, including the Reunification Palace that was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until April 30, 1975. Then, continuing our trip visiting War Remnants Museum that is formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes. This is a poignant display the futility of war. Close to the museum, we go to visit Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office that are some of the best examples of French colonial architecture. Notre Dame Cathedral was built between 1877 and 1883, and the stones used to create it were exported in its entirety from France. Next to the cathedral stands the Central Post Office that is the country’s largest post office was built since 1891. It is another fine example of French architecture and is Vietnam's largest post office.
After lunch, we will visit the old part of Saigon. The sights and sounds of this “Asian” area are alive and well in the markets full of hustle and the buzz of motorbikes and voices amidst the heavy fragrance of spices and perfumes. The first stop is Giac Lam Pagoda, Saigon’s oldest and one of it’s most beautiful temples. Continue to the bustling Chinatown , home to the city's 400,000 Chinese and has many beautiful temples and pagodas. We stop at Cholon and Binh Tay markets to see the locals bartering for wares. Next is Thien Hau temple, built in the early 19th century and dedicated to the Thien Hau the goddess of seafarers. Later on we take a journey through Vietnam’s medical history at the FITO Museum. Our last stop is Ben Thanh Market, where you can shop till you drop and master the art of haggling for just about anything
The tour finishes at approximately 6pm when you will be transferred back to your hotel.
